Hello, My name is David Guy. Welcome to "David's Southern Gospel Songs". I was raised out in the country. You have probably heard some people call it the boondocks or the sticks. You can call it whatever you like. But I loved it. Anyhow, I digress. Every Sunday morning we would get up and begin to get ready for Sunday morning meeting down at the local Church. We'd have that old black and white tv set tuned in as fine as we could get it "with those old rabbit eared antennas". Oh, Boy! There it was! JUBILEE! A gospel singing program hosted by The Florida Boys. Les Beasley was the spokesman. It was there that I first heard The Hinsons. A young family of brothers and a sister singing Southern Gospel. Man, could that Kenny Hinson let it rip. Larry sang the baritone, my oh my. And there's not a finer songwriter or bass singer around than Ronnie Hinson. Bar none. And Yvonne could surely belt out a tune also. I also looked back at some old videos, and I have to pay Chris Hawkins her dues as well. I was hooked. I was in love from that moment on with Southern Gospel Music.

Now, it's been decades and I still love that good old Southern Gospel Music. But, most of all, I love that for which it stands. It stands for the one who came and shed his blood for me. The one who made the trip to Calvary and took my place. So now, I feel honored to praise him through my Southern Gospel and Country Gospel Songs. Please, sit back and take a listen. Hopefully, you will enjoy some tidbits of my songs. I truly believe that each and every song has been inspired by the Holy Spirit. And if you will come to know him, he will put a song in your heart too.
